Chapter 1350 – True Killing Machine!
The Cocoon was knocked downstairs, leaving a mess all over the floor. Xiao Bai, carrying Ling Mo’s psychic tentacle, rushed over to take a look and was instantly struck with horror.
The ground was covered in densely packed tiny holes, looking just like a honeycomb.
Most of the holes still contained broken tentacles, and some of those tentacles were even twitching slightly.
But this didn’t surprise Ling Mo much; that Cocoon couldn’t really be considered a creature, and since the tentacles were just part of its organs, they wouldn’t die immediately after being separated from the main body.
Xiao Bai raised its paw and smashed the tentacle in front of it, quickly searching around.
However, with holes everywhere, it was really hard to search everything at once.
And right at this moment, a shrill roar echoed from downstairs.
“So fast?” Ling Mo grew anxious; when it came to pushing them downstairs, he hadn’t held out any hope. If a zombie with such a high evolution level could die from falling a few floors, then all the fuss in Central City would be a joke.
But the current situation didn’t seem all that serious for them either. Such an important matter had actually been disrupted by a panda.
This was a difference in perception: zombies didn’t pay much attention to mutation beasts because mutation beasts’ instincts wouldn’t lead them to do such things. But when a mutation beast was under someone’s Control, it was a whole different story. Yet this was something the lanky zombie could never have imagined.
In this sense, Ling Mo was practically bullying these zombies…
“But if there’s still no result, it’ll be their turn to bully Xiao Bai.” Ling Mo thought anxiously.
Hearing the roar seemed to indicate movement, Ling Mo decisively gave up searching and ordered Xiao Bai to return.
Xiao Bai rarely protested… Ling Mo could sense it wanted to try a bit longer.
“No, last time was a successful sneak attack. Facing them head-on is a dead end, get out now!” Ling Mo said firmly.
But just then, he suddenly caught sight of a splash of fresh blood.
The blood from those zombies was all discolored, so this patch of red stood out.
Thinking about it, wasn’t that where the lanky zombie had just been standing?
…No wonder he didn’t attack Xiao Bai. Besides not caring, the bigger reason must be this!
As for before… that was because it couldn’t be interrupted. To ensure everything went smoothly, they had chosen to ignore Xiao Bai.
Xiao Bai was an uninvited guest, but the timing was just perfect.
As Ling Mo thought this, Xiao Bai had already sensed his intent and pounced toward the blood.
This blood was different from ordinary blood; there were actually quite a few clots in it.
Xiao Bai stuck out its tongue and licked, scooping all the clots into its mouth.
Finally, there was some gain. Xiao Bai, who had just felt a bit wronged, shook its head excitedly and dashed out.
As it neared the stairwell, it heard several “thump thump” sounds, and several huge tentacles with gaping “mouths” suddenly curled up from the stairs.
“Damn!” Ling Mo cursed under his breath, quickly controlling Xiao Bai to retreat.
“Crash!” The glass at the end of the Corridor shattered, and a figure squeezed in.
But when Ling Mo saw the figure, his pupils contracted.
It was the lanky zombie from before, but now he could no longer be called a zombie.
His lower body had completely fused with the Cocoon, and after the Cocoon merged with his legs, it was constantly changing.
More tentacles. A larger body. To put it simply, it was like a giant sea urchin attached to the lower half of a person.
Moreover, his upper body was also swelling, looking like a deformed, rotting corpse.
Compared to all the variation zombies Ling Mo had seen before, this Monster was even more terrifying.
In fact, he couldn’t be called a variation zombie anymore; he was a Monster artificially cultivated by Central City.
A true killing machine!
Under his frenzied tearing and piercing, the building itself seemed on the verge of collapse!
“How do you even fight this thing!”
Ling Mo felt his scalp tingle. Clearly, because of the interference from him and Xiao Bai, this Monster’s variation had been significantly affected-this was evident from his constantly changing appearance. Yet even so, he was still this terrifying. If he’d been allowed to quietly complete his variation, who knows what he’d become.
“Ah! I’m going to tear you apart! You’ll be the first!” The Monster shouted, his still-transforming face twisted with rage, his voice muffled and broken.
But from his eyes, it was clear-this thing actually had Intelligence!
Ling Mo instantly understood why the one being absorbed was the Flying Zombie and not himself… The Flying Zombie’s evolution level was higher, making it easier to achieve this result, that’s one reason; the other was that the lanky zombie had higher Intelligence. They wanted to cultivate a zombie-type intelligent Gundam!
“Dream on!” Ling Mo retorted inwardly, letting Xiao Bai dodge on its own.
The Monster, besides crawling forward, kept extending masses of tentacles. One look at those tentacles with their dense serrated edges, and it was clear they must not be touched.
Fortunately, in the Corridor, Xiao Bai’s shrunken form made it easy to maneuver. If it were still its former giant size, it would have been trapped like a panda in a jar.
Ling Mo began pouring psychic power into the psychic tentacle controlling Xiao Bai. He’d sent so much before, and it had only been enough to make the lanky zombie freeze for a moment. Now that he’d fused with the Cocoon, he was definitely even tougher. There was only one chance-failure was not an option!
Just then, news came from Lucy and the others ahead.
The first batch of zombies had appeared!
But they weren’t the Spider Queen’s zombies. These zombies… they actually recognized each other!
Ling Mo put down the Communicator and stood up abruptly.
He had to go see…
Meanwhile, Xiao Bai suddenly charged toward the Monster. Just as it was about to be struck by the increasingly dense tentacle attacks, it leapt up.
“In the air, how will you dodge, fool!” The Monster shouted gleefully, his voice muffled.
But at that very moment, a long-prepared psychic shock slammed into the Monster.
At such close range, and with its attention distracted by excitement, the unprepared Monster screamed in agony, its eyes suddenly going blank.
In the next instant, its face was stomped hard by a paw, and it watched helplessly as the panda crashed past its head.
A rush of hot liquid splashed onto its face, and the Monster instinctively reached up to touch…
“Ah!!!! You actually peed on me!”
