Chapter 134 – King! Divine Beast Species!

Volume 2: Battlefield Between Two Worlds

After a long moment, the Little One nodded once more. Simultaneously, a wave of mental fluctuations rippled through Wen Yu's mind.

"Some, strange, sounds, but, I didn't, understand."

Upon hearing the Little One's response, Wen Yu nodded.

"The situation is quite grim. Let me explain the current state of affairs as simply as I can."

Seeing the Little One nod again, Wen Yu used the simplest language possible to explain the rules regarding the Battlefield Between Two World.

"Do you understand?" Wen Yu asked, looking at the slightly confused Little One in front of him.

The Little One shook its head.

"Alright, I'll say it one more time."

This didn't catch Wen Yu off guard. To describe this Little Dragon in his own words, it was pure-it felt as though it had never communicated with another living being before. Its poor comprehension was entirely within Wen Yu's expectations!

Wen Yu also felt that a single explanation would hardly be enough for the Little Dragon to grasp the current situation. So, he explained it all over again.

"Do you understand now?"

The Little One still shook its head.

"Right."

And so, Wen Yu explained it yet again.

"Do you understand?"

The response Wen Yu received was still a shake of the head.

"Tsk, tsk."

Wen Yu took a deep breath to soothe his frustration. He lifted his wrist to check his watch.

An hour had already passed. Wen Yu's explanation took about a minute each time, which meant he had explained it to the Little Dragon no less than fifty times by now!

However, Wen Yu had truly overestimated the Little Dragon's comprehension skills. Seeing the dazed look in the Little Dragon's eyes, Wen Yu realized it wasn't faking; it genuinely couldn't understand.

"Did you get it?" Wen Yu turned to look at One-Eye.

By now, One-Eye had relaxed his tension slightly. Hearing Wen Yu's question, One-Eye let out two barks.

"I got it the first time! Boss, you're looking down on me too much!"

Wen Yu sighed helplessly.

"Tell you what, One-Eye, you go and explain it to it."

"Woof woof!"

"Leave it to me!"

Upon hearing Wen Yu's command-or rather, his request-One-Eye stepped forward and began barking at the Little Dragon.

Because of the Soul Contract, Wen Yu could not only exchange information with One-Eye through mental fluctuations but also understand One-Eye's "speech."

However, it was precisely because he could understand One-Eye's language that Wen Yu clutched his forehead and let out a deep sigh!

This was One-Eye's explanation:

Seeing the Little One's face full of disdain, Wen Yu fell silent.

After a long pause, Wen Yu spoke with a bitter smile. "If I had just said the two words 'fight' and 'eat,' would you have come with me?"

The Little One nodded immediately.

"The creatures, in this, Mountain Forest, are, my, subjects, I, cannot, eat them, but, I'm hungry!"

"I see."

Wen Yu hummed in thought, nodded, and then asked…

"So, can you gather your subjects? This battle… we need them."

The Little One tilted its head, looking at Wen Yu with confusion.

Wen Yu understood immediately.

"One-Eye, help me out!"

After a brief exchange between One-Eye and the Little Dragon, the Little Dragon looked at Wen Yu and slowly nodded.

And then…

Before Wen Yu's shocked eyes, the Little Dragon's body began to transform at an incredible speed!

In less than a second, its originally petite body grew into a massive creature nearly ten meters long!

It had razor-sharp claws and deep black scales. The two pointed horns on its head shimmered with a chilling, daunting light, and its mouth was full of sharp fangs that looked like daggers. A crimson tongue flickered within its maw, accompanied by a faint scent of sulfur!

A violent aura drifted outward, fluttering the hem of Wen Yu's clothes.

Seeing the creature before him, Wen Yu fell silent.

Strong! It was incredibly strong!

But what chilled Wen Yu even more was that this creature was clearly a Giant Dragon.

It was a species that didn't belong to any category in his memory!

Evolution had already strayed far into the unknown!

This also meant there were more unknown existences and even more powerful enemies out there.

A thunderous roar echoed far through the Mountain Forest.

Following the Giant Dragon's domineering cry, the previously silent Mountain Forest came to life!

Sounds erupted from all directions.

There was the rustle of grass as small creatures moved, the vibration of the ground from larger beasts, the stirring from the surrounding trees, and the sound of wings beating in the sky.

Countless creatures, answering the call of their King, rushed toward the clearing!

Wen Yu watched the domineering Giant Dragon quietly as a thought flashed through his mind.

"This Giant Dragon is much stronger than that Giant Eagle…"

However, given the current situation, Wen Yu only allowed himself to think about it. He had no doubt that if he tried to initiate a Soul Contract to bind this Giant Dragon, it would result in nothing but an endless, murderous vendetta!

It was the gaze one reserved for food.

They couldn't gauge Wen Yu's strength, but that didn't stop a beast's instinct to feed!

"Roar!"

A violent roar rang out. Wen Yu could feel the murderous intent that had saturated the forest slowly recede into silence!
