His low murmur was caught by Black Robe.

As soon as those harsh words fell, Black Robe pressed his hand directly onto the Black Flame Puppet!

As if melting, the Black Flame Puppet turned into a liquid-like state and slowly merged into Black Robe's body!

While Wen Yu was leading Black Robe in circles, Li Shanlin and Zhang Lifei, who had just fled the center of the battlefield, had already reached the edge of the Barrier.

Staring at the massive Barrier before them, Zhang Lifei slumped to the ground, gasping for breath. Escaping was exhausting work!

"Are you alright?" Li Shanlin asked, looking at the dazed Zhang Lifei.

Li Shanlin and Zhang Wenhu had grown up together like brothers. He treated this nephew of his as if he were his own son.

Hearing Li Shanlin's voice, Zhang Lifei simply shook his head without a word.

"Don't worry. With Wen Yu and those Mutant Creatures there, this battle will definitely turn out fine. We just need to wait here for a bit."

"Yeah."

Zhang Lifei pulled a bottle of water from his Spatial Ring and handed it to Li Shanlin before taking out another for himself, gulping it down greedily.

Seeing Zhang Lifei's despondent state, Li Shanlin couldn't help but sigh. For a boy not even eighteen, losing his mother young and then his father so suddenly was a massive blow. The fact that Zhang Lifei could remain this calm already spoke to his mental fortitude.

However, there was nothing behind them except the black Barrier.

"Lifei, look at my back. What happened?"

Li Shanlin was certain that the burning sensation hadn't been an illusion.

Zhang Lifei looked at Li Shanlin's back, then at the nearby Barrier. His expression instantly darkened.

"That thing… I think it just moved!"
