They were going to take her to their scam den.

After driving for about an hour, the car left the main road and began heading toward the sparsely populated outskirts.

“You’re pretty obedient,” Brother Dao said, relaxing a little. He had been worried Lin Xi might try something in the busy downtown area.

Now that they were out in the suburbs, he wasn’t afraid of her pulling any tricks.

“Of course,” Lin Xi said. “When you’re in a car, it’s better not to do anything dangerous.”

Brother Dao’s words made Sunglasses Man laugh as well.

Shock Shark Gang??? Lin Xi thought. That must be the name of this fraud ring.

Brother Dao said, “I was originally planning to chop off one of your hands, film it, send it to Zhao Xinning, and threaten her into coming over.”

The three of them got out of the car. Lin Xi suddenly asked,

“Have you ever seen an entire building burn and explode?”

Brother Dao was about to tell Lin Xi to stop wasting time and get inside.

Sunglasses Man chimed in, “In movies. Why?”

Lin Xi raised her hand and smiled faintly.

“Now you can see it in real life.”

A massive, scorching fireball appeared out of thin air and plunged straight down from the roof.

Like a thin sheet of white paper being set aflame, the entire building was reduced to ashes in the blink of an eye.

“Well?” Lin Xi admired her handiwork. “Better than movie special effects, right?”

Sunglasses Man wet himself on the spot. Brother Dao, worthy of being one of the Shock Shark Gang’s top fighters, managed to dive into the car and start the engine even under such terrifying circumstances.

Lin Xi burned straight through him, car and all.

“And you.” Lin Xi walked over to Sunglasses Man, who had collapsed to the ground in terror and was sobbing as he begged for mercy. “You damn scammers… Honestly, I’ve never seen anyone as brazen as you people.”
