Chapter 155 – You Call Yourself a Succubus?!

“Check the water meter?”

“Isn’t that a load of crap?”

“Boss, didn’t we just pay the water bill?” Flame Emperor looked at Old K, who said calmly,

“The people outside are looking for trouble.”

“Holy shit!” Flame Emperor shot to his feet and slammed the table. “What suicidal bastard dares mess with First Blood, the strongest mercenary team around?!”

Boom!

A sharp explosion rang out, and the front door was blasted open.

“Damn it,” Beast King cursed. “I’m going to crush the intruders’ skulls!”

They surged out of the conference room.

Their uninvited guests had already forced their way inside.

The two groups came face-to-face in the main hall.

“Ah! It’s you!” He Mingyuan shouted.

He immediately recognized one of the intruders as the target he wanted to capture-Shi Yu!

And Shi Yu wasn’t alone. Lin Xi, Thor, Qin Ling, and Lu Yi had come with her. Lu Yi was the one who had blown open the door with a bomb.

Zheng Mo was waiting in the car. If they needed fire support, she could activate the Gatling gun mounted at the rear at any moment.

All five members of the First Blood Mercenary Team had seen photographs of their target, so they recognized Shi Yu as well.

They never imagined their target would deliver herself right to their doorstep.

“Hahahaha!” Succubus laughed wildly. “Five adorable girls!”

She couldn’t take her eyes off them. Licking her lips, she said,

“Nobody make a move yet!”

“I’ll capture them myself!”

Succubus certainly didn’t want her teammates, who had no idea how to treat ladies gently, to hurt these five adorable girls.

Succubus swept her gaze across the five girls opposite her.

“Ma’am?” Lin Xi asked. “Is there something on my face?”

“What a weird auntie,” Qin Ling remarked.

Thor nodded. “It feels like some creepy old lady is staring at us.”

Shi Yu and Lu Yi both agreed.

Succubus fell silent.

“Ma’am?! Auntie?! Old lady?!”

“Are you talking about me?!” She was so furious she practically blew smoke out of her ears.

“How are all of you immune to my Charm Power?!”

Succubus looked as if her entire faith had collapsed. “Impossible! Absolutely impossible! No one can be completely immune to my Charm Power!”

Flame Emperor was shocked as well. “You can resist Succubus’s Charm Power? Are all of you wearing special contact lenses or something?”

“Wait.” Thor furrowed her brow. “You people call this old lady Succubus?”

Just like Thor, Qin Ling, Lu Yi, and Shi Yu were all stunned.

Her?

A Succubus?

“And you dare call yourself a Succubus?! You’re an insult to the name Succubus!” Thor snapped. “There is only one Succubus in this world, and that’s my master!”

“Exactly!” Qin Ling chimed in. “Weird auntie, your charm can’t measure up to a single strand of hair from Blazing Flame Succubus!”

Shi Yu declared that she loved only Lin Xi and could never feel anything for anyone else.

Lu Yi acknowledged Lin Xi as her one and only “Sleeping Pill.”

Lin Xi was speechless.

What are they even talking about?

Did I come to the wrong place?

Why are all my teammates’ “attacks” being aimed at me?

“Stop!” Lin Xi cut them off. “Focus your ‘firepower’ on the enemy!”

With that, Lin Xi snapped her fingers, and a tiny flame appeared beside her.

They hadn’t attacked immediately because they had some questions they needed the other side to answer.

“What? Is your superpower Fire Manipulation too? But…” Flame Emperor gave her a contemptuous smile. “That flame is so tiny, I wouldn’t even use it to light my cigarette.”

Flame Emperor showed off by making his entire hand burst into roaring flames.

Lin Xi had only used one percent of her power to summon that tiny flame. She figured it would be more than enough.

Of course, if it wasn’t, she could always turn it up.

Lin Xi ignored Flame Emperor’s showboating and provocation, but Thor flew into a rage:

“Showing off your superiority, are you?”

“A tadpole with a frog tattoo-who the fuck are you trying to impress?!”

“You puny insects dare mock my master?!”

“You’re courting death!”

Thor flashed in front of the smug Flame Emperor and drove a vicious punch straight at his head.

Bam!

The Beast King caught Thor’s punch.

Brimming with confidence, he threw a punch of his own and met her fist head-on.

Crack!

“Aaargh!” The Beast King’s face contorted in pain as he screamed without end.

That single clash left him with a comminuted fracture in his right hand.

“How is that possible?!”

How could such a slender young woman possess such overwhelming strength?

Thor sneered mercilessly. “What’s with that limp little punch? I haven’t had a good fight in ages. You’d better go all out and show me a good time.”

“Thor,” Lin Xi said helplessly, “I told you over and over on the way here to wait until we’d finished questioning them before you started fighting. You really didn’t listen to a single word, did you?”

At this rate, they would have to fight first and ask questions later…

“Hurry up and grab them!” The Succubus clearly had the same idea: fight first, question them later. “I’ll teach every last one of them a lesson! Those reckless little brats need to learn what I’m capable of!”

A fight was about to erupt.

Fleetfoot, one of the mercenaries, assumed Lin Xi was the Captain of their group. That meant he only needed to capture the leader to bring down the whole group.

A razor-sharp dagger slipped from his sleeve. His figure blurred as he lunged straight at Lin Xi.

Clang!

Just before Fleetfoot’s dagger could pierce Lin Xi’s throat, Shi Yu blocked it.

Fleetfoot stared at her in shock. “You can actually track my movements?!”

Shi Yu smiled faintly. “Aren’t you here to capture me? You should know all about me, including the fact that I replaced my core.”

“Lin Xi!” Shi Yu called.

“Got it.”

The tiny flame hovering beside Lin Xi shot into Fleetfoot.

Just like the Flame Emperor, Fleetfoot thought Lin Xi’s tiny flame looked too weak to even light a cigarette.

His attention remained fixed entirely on Shi Yu. He paid no mind whatsoever to the tiny flame that landed on him.

And then…

He vaporized on the spot.

The bizarre sight terrified every member of the mercenary team.

“Impossible!” The Flame Emperor blinked in disbelief. “How could such a tiny flame be that powerful?!”

“Take my Fire Tornado!”

The Flame Emperor opened with a blazing fire dragon.

Old K had also realized how great a threat Lin Xi posed. Red light flashed in his eyes as he activated Laser Eyes!

“Roar!” The Beast King let out a furious roar and immediately entered Dragon Form. Now transformed into a dragon humanoid, he breathed fire at Lin Xi.

Three devastating attacks hurtled toward Lin Xi at once.

“Lin Xi!” Qin Ling, who had no combat ability, shouted. She and Lu Yi rushed in front of Lin Xi to shield her.

Lin Xi was speechless.

Shi Yu and Thor were also about to block the attacks for her when Lin Xi shouted,

“Don’t worry! Fire-based attacks don’t work on me!”

Sure enough.

The Flame Emperor’s flames, the Beast King’s breath, and Old K’s superheated beams slammed into Lin Xi, yet the three ferocious attacks failed to harm so much as a single strand of her hair.

Ironically, Fleetfoot’s assassination attempt had been the only attack capable of threatening her.

But Fleetfoot had already been vaporized.

The Flame Emperor, Beast King, and Old K broke out in cold sweats, their faces ashen.

How was this possible?!

Calmly, Lin Xi summoned three tiny flames. “So you’re all ganging up on me, huh? Fine. I’ll return each of your attacks in kind.”

“Wait, Master!” Thor said. “There’s no need for you to dirty your hands. Leave them to me.”

“Thor, do you really want to fight that badly?”

“Ehehe…” Thor put on her cutest expression to win permission.

Lin Xi relented. “All right, but be careful.”

“Don’t worry.”

Thor turned around and crooked a finger at the mercenaries.

“Come at me-all of you at once.”
