Apocalypse Summoning Frenzy Volume 2 Chapter 20

Treasure Land

Chapter 20 – Treasure Land

Volume 2: Battlefield Between Two Worlds

The entrance to the Treasure Land was not large-only about the size of a soccer ball-flickering with an unsteady, alternating glow.

"Go on. You go in first." Wen Yu glanced blandly at Li Quan'an, the threat in his words obvious.

Li Quan'an gave a bitter smile and reached out to touch the Treasure Land.

Seeing Li Quan'an teleport inside, Wen Yu immediately withdrew One-Eye outside back into the Soul Realm. After all, Mutant Creature couldn't enter the Treasure Land. Then he followed right after, afraid Li Quan'an might try something inside.

The dizziness of teleportation hit and vanished at once. Li Quan'an beside him still hadn't recovered from it, his eyes carrying a trace of confusion.

Wen Yu carefully examined this Treasure Land.

At the exit were three branching paths. From one of them, Wen Yu could clearly hear the hissing roars of Zombies.

"Explain the situation in this Treasure Land."

Once Li Quan'an had fully come to, Wen Yu asked directly.

"These three paths-each one ends with a treasure chest. Each path has a few Zombies, but they're weak. When I found this Treasure Land, my Physical Attribute was 3 Points. I cleared two paths by myself, but each person can only open one chest, so there are still chests left on both sides. The Zombies on the left have already been cleaned out by me."

Wen Yu looked at Li Quan'an in confusion. "Then why didn't you have your men come in and open the chests?"

As soon as he asked, Wen Yu realized it was a stupid question. If there were an item inside that could boost strength immediately, that person could just turn around, kill Li Quan'an, and become the Boss-how satisfying would that be?

Li Quan'an definitely didn't dare gamble on that.

Seeing Li Quan'an's awkward smile, Wen Yu nodded in understanding.

"Let's go. We'll check the left passage first." With that, Wen Yu walked straight into the left passage.

The passage wasn't long-about a hundred meters. Since the Zombies had already been cleared out, it took only a few minutes for the two of them to reach the treasure chest.

"This is it." Li Quan'an said, looking at the wooden chest less than half a meter tall in front of them.

"Are all three chests the same?"

"They're all this kind."

"Mm." Wen Yu opened the chest directly.

A flash of light burst from inside, and then with a "bang," a rag doll popped right out of the chest.

"Uh-hahaha, got you! Uh-hahaha, got you…"

A piercing shriek rang in his ears. Wen Yu smashed the rag doll with a punch.

"Fuck your mother." Wen Yu didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He hadn't expected his luck to be this bad-opening a chest and getting a damn gag.

"Mayor Li, go outside and find a Class Holder to open the remaining chest. I'll go wait by the chest area first." Wen Yu said to Li Quan'an beside him.

Li Quan'an hesitated slightly, then immediately headed back.

With Wen Yu here, whatever was in that remaining chest definitely wouldn't belong to anyone else. And Li Quan'an couldn't resist anyway.

Watching Li Quan'an gradually disappear into the distance, Wen Yu tentatively opened the Second Soul Realm.

A purple glow flashed, and One-Eye's massive body appeared inside the Treasure Land.

This was just a small experiment by Wen Yu. The result proved that although One-Eye couldn't enter the Treasure Land through its entrance, he could still appear inside via the power of the Soul Realm space.

One-Eye looked around in confusion. The narrow passageways felt stifling to One-Eye.

"Go. Clear out the remaining Zombies."

Wen Yu gave One-Eye an order.

"Woof woof woof." "Boss, I do things for you and you still won't give me any Soul Crystal to eat."

That was One-Eye's complaint.

Wen Yu kicked One-Eye and cursed with a laugh, "Dead Dog, move it. I'm doing this for your own good."

Watching One-Eye scamper off, Wen Yu followed at an unhurried pace.

By the time Wen Yu entered the passage on the right, One-Eye had already cleared every last Zombie in the corridor.

Yet there were no signs of the corpses on the ground having been gnawed. That Dead Dog-he'd even learned to be picky.

Footsteps sounded slowly from behind. Before long, Li Quan'an arrived with his trusted subordinate.

"Brother Wen Yu, you're pretty quick," Li Quan'an said, forcing a smile as he looked somewhat fearfully at One-Eye's massive figure.

In this Treasure Land, there were only three people. Li Quan'an had to be careful with every word and action, because here, his personal safety was completely unguaranteed.

Wen Yu nodded and looked at the person beside Li Quan'an.

This was a Class Holder with 3 Points of Physical Attribute. His combat power, in Wen Yu's eyes, was practically nonexistent.

Without caring what his name was, Wen Yu simply jerked his chin. "Go on. Open that chest, then hand me what's inside."

The man nodded to Wen Yu, immediately stepped forward, and opened the chest.

A flash of light, and a scroll appeared at the bottom of the chest.

A flicker of complicated emotion passed through Li Quan'an's subordinate's eyes. When he turned back and saw that neither Li Quan'an nor Wen Yu made any move, he cautiously picked up the scroll. A prompt sounded in his mind.

"Give me that scroll." Wen Yu urged again.

The man's face first showed shock, then complexity, then hesitation-until it was replaced by resolve.

This thing could change his fate. With it, he was confident he could escape Treasure Land, and then, relying on this scroll, he could live carefree somewhere else. He might even become the boss of a Settlement-who could say it wasn't possible?

Why should he stay under Li Quan'an for the rest of his life? Why should he be beneath others? Why should he be ordered around at someone else's beck and call?

Everyone has ambition-especially in the face of power that can change one's destiny.

Li Quan'an's subordinate decided to gamble. But those blinded by greed never end well.

So he lost-he lost his life.

The moment Wen Yu saw the scroll, he had been carefully watching the expression on the man's face.

A scroll-type treasure could be a Class Change Scroll For Hidden Classe, or it could be a Skill. These things would be used the moment they were torn open.

Wen Yu had long since regarded this treasure as his. Trying to snatch his things was absolutely unacceptable.

When he saw a flash of determination on the face of the man holding the scroll, Wen Yu moved.

A distance of a few meters took less than a second.

Before the man could exert strength with both hands and tear the scroll open, Wen Yu had already grabbed his head. The tremendous force made the man scream.

Wen Yu snapped Li Quan'an's subordinate's hands straight off, then pulled the scroll out of the man's twisted grip.

"My things aren't yours to take."

A cold voice rang out.

Then, with a forceful shove of his right hand, he slammed the man's head into the wall!

It burst like a watermelon, white and red splattering all over the floor.
