Chapter 67 – A More Complex Situation

As Wen Yu opened Pandora's Box, the surrounding attacks gradually dissipated.

That brief encounter had actually lasted less than a minute. The attacks from the various powerhouses ceased the very instant Wen Yu opened the box.

Attacking the holder of the box was a tacit understanding, a contest for possession. However, once the holder withstood the strikes from all sides and successfully opened the box, any further attack would be considered a personal vendetta.

No one was willing to make an enemy out of a top-tier powerhouse like Wen Yu.

Wen Yu also understood this underlying rule.

"Give me back my dog," he said flatly to the Black-robed Man, who had now appeared before the crowd.

The Black-robed Man gave a bitter smile and waved his hands. The miniature sandstorm that was still raging slowly dispersed, revealing One-Eye's blood-drenched figure.

"Whimper…"

One-Eye let out a low growl, staring at the Black-robed Man with eyes full of killing intent.

To One-Eye, the damage he had just sustained was merely flesh wounds. After his Life-And-Death Combat Ability activated, the increase in his Physical Attribute hadn't been enough to let him break out of the sandstorm.

"Come back, One-Eye!"

Issuing a simple command, Wen Yu took another deep look at the Military Uniform Trio.

This group was currently the strongest and most threatening presence among everyone on the scene.

Exhaling, Wen Yu turned his attention to the items inside the box.

The treasures in this round of the Pandora's Box were once again Magic Crystals.

As the hard currency of the Apocalypse, calling Magic Crystals treasures was not an exaggeration.

There were ten Level 2 Magic Crystals. Unlike the previous time, these were all Beast Attribute Magic Crystals.

After taking the crystals, Wen Yu left the box where it was and slowly retreated.

As Wen Yu backed away, the Class Holders behind him immediately moved aside, clearing a large space for him.

Everyone understood the current situation.

Wen Yu was the strongest individual! Chu Ziling and the Black-robed Man were next. However, in terms of total combat power, the Military Uniform Trio was actually the most formidable.

These were the only people currently qualified to compete for the Treasure Box.

Once Wen Yu reached a safe distance, he exited his Combat State.

Seeing the Little Soul Beast on Wen Yu's shoulder, the eyes of the Military Uniform Trio flickered.

They exchanged glances, and Monkey whispered, "Is it the same Class as Number 1?"

Sequence 29 nodded slightly.

"But his personal combat ability is much stronger than Number 1's. I'm referring to the man himself; his Soul Pet is actually holding him back a bit."

None of them had seen the terrifying form of One-Eye when his Life-And-Death Combat Ability was fully unleashed. Based on the strength One-Eye had displayed so far, he did indeed seem to be a bit of a drag on Wen Yu.

"In that case, he should have the Soul Strike ability as well."

Monkey muttered under his breath, then shuddered. He had experienced the power of Soul Strike firsthand.

"Looking at his overall strength, he's a bit stronger than Number 1, but he's still far from Lord War God! Currently, this man has the highest individual strength in the Treasure Land. If the three of us fight him, our chances of winning should be around eighty percent. When the next box opens, we'll make our move for real. Get ready!"

At Sequence 29's words, Monkey and the burly man nodded slightly.

The next struggle would not be a minor skirmish like this one!

Wen Yu recalled One-Eye into his Soul Realm and began feeding the Magic Crystals to the Little Soul Beast one by one.

By the time he finished feeding it the ten Beast Attribute Magic Crystals, the Soul Beast's Physical Attribute had risen to 15 Points. In his Combat State, Wen Yu's Physical Attribute would now reach 62 Points.

His Level 3 strength allowed him to look down upon the crowd, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to completely crush them.

This meant that the next time Wen Yu made a move, he would be the primary target for everyone. After all, there was a limit to how much people would tolerate!

Once he saw his Soul Beast finish absorbing all the Magic Crystals, Wen Yu immediately entered his Combat State. At the same time, he activated One-Eye's Strong Healing ability.

The bloody, mangled wounds on his face quickly stopped bleeding. Judging by the rate of recovery, Wen Yu's injuries would be fully healed by the time Pandora's Box could be opened for the third time.

Seeing that Wen Yu and the others remained silent, the Black-robed Man curled his lip.

"If you won't kill them, I'll do it myself. However, I trust you won't make a move against me for the sake of these weaklings!"

The Black-robed Man looked at each of them intently.

Sequence 29 started to move, but Monkey held him back.

"It's not worth it."

Seeing Monkey shake his head, Sequence 29 lowered his clenched fists and gave a slight nod.

His pride and sense of duty as a soldier made it difficult for Sequence 29 to ignore the bullying of the weak. However, in a soldier's mind, achieving the objective always came first!

And right now, the objective was Pandora's Box!
