"Wen Yu, do you need backup?"

Wen Yu immediately recognized Kuangliu's voice.

After a brief pause, Wen Yu replied, "There's not too much pressure on my end at the moment. If you don't have anything else to deal with, you can come take a look."

"Give me half a day!"

Kuangliu responded and promptly hung up the Walkie-Talkie.

Meanwhile, at the Outpost.

Countless Military vehicles poured out of the Treasure Land entrance, carrying either heavy weaponry or fully equipped soldiers.

Just yesterday, Lin Haifeng had largely resolved the incident involving the Aristocratic Families in the Yanjing Settlement. The few remaining holdouts were naturally no cause for concern.

Most of the defensive lines outside the Yanjing Settlement had also been pulled back.

They were called defensive lines, but their main purpose had been to defend against Mutant Creatures.

At present, however, Mutant Creature territory and human territory were clearly separated, and there were no major conflicts between the two sides.

Furthermore, the environment inside the Outpost Treasure Land was extremely suitable for training troops. Lin Haifeng had already decided to transfer most of the Military's forces into the Treasure Land and prepare for a head-on battle with the Demon Race!

Beside the Treasure Land entrance, Kuangliu had just ended the call. He smiled at Fang Wenhai beside him and said, "Old Fang, I heard Wen Yu put on quite a show here yesterday and had all of you jumping at shadows."

Kuangliu's tone was mostly teasing.

Fang Wenhai showed no particular reaction. He merely nodded.

"Sequence 2's strength was beyond anything I imagined. He's absurdly powerful! It's hard for me to believe a human can possess that kind of power! There's drone footage of Sequence 2's battle in the Central Castle. Would you like to see it?"

After witnessing Wen Yu's strength, Fang Wenhai had gained an entirely new understanding of what those in the Sequence were capable of. As Sequence 3, Kuangliu could not be too far behind Wen Yu, no matter how weak he might be by comparison.

Before Kuangliu could respond, a casually dressed young man who looked no older than twenty spoke up from behind him.

"Fang-Ge, if you ask me, you've just been cooped up here for too long. You have no idea how powerful Lord War God really is, which is why you're making such a big deal out of some Sequence 2 who crawled out of who-knows-where. You should know that Lord Kuangliu is Invincible!"

The young man's voice brimmed with confidence, not in his own strength, but in Kuangliu's!

Kuangliu showed no reaction to his words. He simply waved a hand, signaling for Fang Wenhai to lead their group toward the Central Castle.

Xiao Xue, who was standing behind Kuangliu, said calmly, "I've seen Sequence 2's strength… I'm afraid even Lord War God may not be his match."

The casually dressed young man curled his lip at Xiao Xue's words but said nothing more.

Hearing Xiao Xue, Kuangliu gave a slight nod.

"Forget everything else. Just that Divine Beast Species Wen Yu has is already beyond my ability to defeat! Enough. There's no point talking about this. Wen Yu will be our comrade-in-arms for the foreseeable future. You'll see for yourselves who's stronger, so there's no need to argue over something so pointless here!"

"And that goes especially for you!"

Kuangliu pointed at the casually dressed young man behind him.

"How does that saying go again? One terrible fan does more damage than ten haters. With that mouth of yours, you're going to land me in serious trouble sooner or later!"

The corners of the casually dressed young man's mouth twitched twice as he muttered under his breath.

"Boss is the strongest to begin with…"

Judging by his expression, he was clearly indignant that Kuangliu had admitted himself inferior just moments ago.

Kuangliu smiled and shook his head. Ignoring the young men's grumbling, he followed Fang Wenhai straight toward the Central Castle.

Behind Kuangliu, ten people in assorted attire followed closely.

They were the main reinforcements sent by the Military this time: the War God and The Military's Top Ten!

Inside the Central Castle, Fang Wenhai gave Kuangliu and the others a detailed briefing on the current situation in the Treasure Land, then showed them the recording of Wen Yu's battle from the previous day. When it was over, everyone fell silent.

The Military's Top Ten were silent because of Wen Yu's overwhelming strength. Kuangliu, meanwhile, was preoccupied with the Protective Shield around the Demon City.

"Have you sent anyone to examine it on-site?" Kuangliu was the first to speak.

Fang Wenhai shook his head.

"The only people strong enough and willing to get close enough to the Demon City for a look are soldiers, and they lack the necessary expertise."

"The experts don't have the strength to protect themselves, so sending them there would be too dangerous. Zhao Xiang won't allow his technical personnel to risk their lives on the front line."

The Military had no shortage of technical personnel, but a mission like this had to be entrusted to its top researchers.

Given the current state of technology and education, every expert of that caliber who died would be irreplaceable.

Kuangliu nodded slightly when he heard this.

"Then I'll take a team over for an initial inspection. I'll personally protect those precious experts."

Fang Wenhai nodded.

"Then there won't be a problem. With you there, I'm sure they'll be safe."

After hearing Fang Wenhai's answer, Kuangliu turned and headed for the door.

"One more thing, Kuangliu."

Seeing that Kuangliu was about to leave, Fang Wenhai immediately called out to him.

"How are the nuclear weapons preparations coming along?"

Kuangliu immediately pointed out the window.

"We brought in ten warheads of varying yields, along with the corresponding launch systems. But Commander Lin has issued orders that they aren't to be used unless the situation becomes critical."

"After all, killing Demonic Creatures with nuclear bombs, missiles, and similar weapons of mass destruction won't earn any Points. Commander Lin wants you to keep that in mind. We don't have to fight the Demonic Creatures to the bitter end over this Treasure Land. Our priority is to produce a group of experts as quickly as possible. If you realize the situation is hopeless, focus on preserving as many Class Holders as you can."

Kuangliu paused briefly before adding one final warning.

"Also, don't worry about casualties. What the Military needs are Level 4 Class Holders, not Level 1 or Level 2 Cannon Fodder!"

Fang Wenhai nodded in understanding.

Once Kuangliu had finished his preparations, five Military vehicles set out toward the Demon City, carrying Kuangliu's group and two researchers from the Academy of Sciences.

At that moment, Wen Yu was standing in front of the Demon City, watching One-Eye's massacre below.

Shortly after Wen Yu finished speaking with Kuangliu, a huge horde of Demonic Creatures came charging out of the Demon City.

At first, Wen Yu tensed, thinking the Demonic Creatures had finally amassed enough strength and were preparing to take him on directly.

But after One-Eye wiped out a tenth of them with a single blast of Tyrannical Flame, Wen Yu quickly realized that wasn't what was happening at all.

These were nothing more than Cannon Fodder sent out by the Demon Race to die!
