Chapter 225 – The Innate Charm of the Femme Fatale

While Ling Mo and his group were hastily hunting within the Amusement Park, another group was active in a different area.

“Hurry up, I can’t hold on much longer!”

A Survivor struggled to brace a door, while several Zombies outside were relentlessly slamming against it.

The door lock continuously rattled with a “clank” sound, threatening to break open at any moment.

Inside the room, a few Survivors were frantically searching around.

“Damn it, there’s too little food here!”

A Bald Man, looking to be around thirty years old, kicked over a shelf in frustration, throwing a bag of candy he found onto the floor.

Another Survivor quickly picked it up and put it into a half-full backpack, which contained a hodgepodge of items some food and a few bottles of drinks.

“No choice, things are getting harder to find,” a younger man with long hair leaned against the wall, speaking calmly.

Though he made no move to help, the others showed no dissatisfaction. Even the Survivor cursing while bracing the door didn’t ask the young man for assistance.

“Hurry up, or more Zombies will be attracted here,” the Bald Man said irritably, waving his hand.

He glanced at the long-haired young man and asked, “You Yuntian, how long are you going to keep those useless people around? Keep a few pretty women and ditch the rest, especially those two old geezers!”

Hearing the Bald Man’s words, the Survivors rummaging under the shelves paused instinctively. One of them looked up, seeming about to speak, but another stopped him with a glance.

The Bald Man continued his tirade, “Especially that Bai Yu! This one won’t let you touch her, that one won’t let you touch her, yet you still listen to her! Do you actually like her? I don’t think she’s that great!”

“Stop whining,” You Yuntian glared at the Bald Man, spitting out a leaf from his mouth. “I don’t like Bai Yu, got it? And Yang Tianxin, haven’t you already snagged two? Get moving. I’ve been hearing Zombie roars all day, something feels off.”

“What’s the problem…” the Bald Man began dismissively, but was interrupted by a distant thud.

His heart skipped a beat, and he looked shocked, “What the hell is that?”

You Yuntian hesitated for a moment, then quickly ran to the door, shoving aside the Survivor who was bracing it.

The door was immediately flung open, and You Yuntian charged directly at the oncoming Zombies with a Kitchen Knife.

His movements weren’t fast, but they were powerful, and he wielded the knife skillfully.

The Bald Man quickly followed, joining the fray.

The Zombies were swiftly dealt with, and You Yuntian had already charged outside.

He glanced in the direction of the thud, a look of apprehension in his eyes, “What’s going on? Could it be a Senior Zombie? Hurry, we need to get back. If we run into a Senior Zombie, we’re screwed.”

At the scene of the incident, under the giant Ferris Wheel, Ling Mo was leaning against the ticket booth, his eyes fixed on the open space ahead.

Black Silk was in a standoff with a Zombie, while Ye Lian and the three girls were fighting several other Zombies.

With their skills, the Mutated Zombies were quickly dispatched, but the Zombie facing Black Silk seemed tough to handle.

It was an Advanced Zombie, likely recently evolved, as the Frenzy in its eyes hadn’t fully dissipated.

However, it was incredibly agile and adept at evading attacks.

The recent loud noise had come from it dodging into the carousel, with Black Silk crashing into it.

Only one Advanced Zombie in a day left Ling Mo slightly disappointed.

But he had managed to hunt down many Mutated Zombies. In the past two days alone, he had collected over a hundred Virus Gels.

Given Ye Lian and the girls’ appetites, their energy consumption would be higher if they were continuously engaged in combat. However, under normal circumstances, they only needed to eat once every two to three days.

By this calculation, the Virus Gels they had collected would last over a month.

Li Yalin stood nearby, her eyes fixed on the Advanced Zombie’s every move. Suddenly, her figure blurred as she appeared at the side of the Advanced Zombie.

From his vantage point, Ling Mo could see clearly that Li Yalin wasn’t teleporting, but her speed could increase dramatically in an instant, much like a venomous snake striking its prey.

Moreover, her body was exceedingly flexible. Although she landed beside the Advanced Zombie, her attack came from behind him.

Ling Mo’s Psychic Tentacle immediately assisted Li Yalin. The Advanced Zombie instinctively tried to dodge, but it staggered.

“Crack!”

The Advanced Zombie’s arm was dislocated, and blood spurted out as it fell to the ground. Before it could get back up, a dark shadow loomed over it.

A flash of cold light descended. Even though the Advanced Zombie tried to roll away, a deep gash appeared on its waist, and Xia Na’s Scythe gleamed with fresh blood.

“Roar!”

Black Silk, driven into a Frenzy by the Advanced Zombie, finally seized the opportunity. Its massive body leapt into the air, and its claws pinned down the Advanced Zombie. Black Silk then lifted it with its jaws and threw it into the air.

Blood rained down. Before the Advanced Zombie’s body hit the ground, Ye Lian had already darted past it.

“Bang!”

The Advanced Zombie hit the ground, but Ye Lian was already holding a high-purity Virus Gel.

Ling Mo, taking the Virus Gel, couldn’t help but praise, “Nice extraction! Your brain-digging skill is getting more refined, not even a drop of blood splashed…”

Ye Lian blinked in surprise, then smiled faintly and nodded vigorously, “Mm.”

“Is that something a human would say?” Xia Na said, wiping her Scythe clean on the Zombie’s corpse before looking up.

“I’m just complimenting Ye Lian from a Zombie’s perspective!” Ling Mo chuckled.

Li Yalin glanced back at Ling Mo. As she passed by him, she subtly but deliberately ran her soft yet deadly fingers across his waist, sending a tingling sensation through his body, as if he had been electrified.

“So, you’ve learned to think like us Zombies now?”

She suddenly appeared behind Ling Mo, her body as flexible as a snake, pressing against his back. Her mouth was right next to his ear, and she even stuck out her tongue to lightly lick his earlobe.

“How about I bite you and turn you into one of us?”

Ling Mo shivered, not out of fear, but because Li Yalin’s actions had stirred him.

“She’s a snake demon!”

As time went on, Li Yalin’s memory fusion was progressing rapidly, and some of her deeper human traits were emerging.

However, she was still unstable. Only when she completely merged would they know what kind of person the Senior Sister had become.

Ling Mo had never imagined that the once seemingly perfect and unapproachable Senior Sister would have such an irresistibly seductive side…

“It must be partly due to the Mutation Snake Virus…”

Ling Mo shook his head quickly, feeling a warmth gathering in his lower abdomen.

Fortunately, Ye Lian and Xia Na hadn’t noticed Li Yalin’s actions. They were both staring at the Ferris Wheel.

“Want to ride it?” Ling Mo asked.

Ye Lian shook her head and suddenly pointed at the Ferris Wheel, saying, “Pigeons.”

Ling Mo looked up and indeed saw a few pigeons perched on the iron framework.

“Uh… got it, I’ll catch them.”

Of course, Ling Mo wasn’t going to climb the structure, nor could he fly. So, he used a simple method.

He stood beneath the framework and extended his Psychic Tentacles.

These pigeons were very sensitive. Although Ling Mo’s Psychic Tentacles were invisible, the pigeons took flight as soon as they approached.

However, one pigeon was still caught. It wobbled in midair and fell, landing in Ye Lian’s hands.
