Chapter 288 – The Double Pleasure of Tentacles
After a night’s sleep, Ling Mo’s Psychic Power and physical strength had almost fully recovered.
“Awake… awake…”
As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Ye Lian leaning beside him, her big eyes staring blankly at him.
“What are you looking at?”
Ling Mo smiled slightly, and a Psychic Tentacle quietly extended towards Ye Lian.
She immediately let out a startled cry and looked around.
The tentacle lightly flicked her smooth forehead.
However, the control over the consumption of Psychic Power was far from precise. Such a tiny action cost Ling Mo enough Psychic Power that he could have used the tentacle to smash a wooden plank.
Ye Lian widened her eyes, reached up to touch her head, then suddenly pounced on Ling Mo, saying, “Something invisible is touching me and bullying me!”
Even though she was a Zombie, facing something unseen and untouchable made her somewhat anxious.
But her actions clearly had more to do with being playful, as Ling Mo could feel her heartbeat was quite steady, not at all like she was frightened.
Zombies don’t really get scared…
Xia Na immediately sat up from the other side.
She was only wearing an oversized T-shirt, her long hair partially covering her fair shoulders, and even a portion of her small, firm breasts.
Ling Mo’s appetite was instantly whetted. Waking up to such beautiful scenery in the morning was indeed one of life’s great pleasures.
Sunlight streamed in through the window, spilling onto the bed. For a moment, Ling Mo even forgot the outside world was still that cruel and bloody place.
“The thing bullying Ye Lian, where is it? I’ll cut it down!”
She was about to reach for the Scythe by the bed when her eyes widened.
The Scythe seemed to be pulled by an invisible string, slowly being dragged away, and a slight tug could also be felt from her neckline.
Xia Na lowered her head, watching helplessly as her clothes were slowly pulled down.
Her shoulders were completely exposed, and Ling Mo’s hand slid stealthily up her back.
From under the covers, a startled cry from Li Yalin could be heard, filling Ling Mo with glee.
Originally, he thought the Psychic Tentacles wouldn’t bring any sensation, as they were merely mental energy.
But after Materialization, the feeling was even better than reality. The slight thrill of touching skin was even amplified.
While physical touch requires nerve transmission to the brain, the tentacles provided immediate sensation.
Although the difference was so subtle that an ordinary person wouldn’t notice, for a superhuman like Ling Mo, it was unmistakable.
“If it feels this good now, even without full control, who knows what it will be like when I master it. I might really become a Tentacle Monster. When I face the Spider Queen, my combat power will increase significantly. Maybe I could even capture her alive.”
Ling Mo knew that the Spider Queen wouldn’t give up easily, much like the Leader-Level Zombie who chose Ban Yue as its Mate.
It was somewhat ironic. Human emotions might degrade or even disappear, but Zombies, like beasts, were incredibly loyal.
Logically, if the Spider Queen truly wanted to reproduce, she could cultivate a Mate with her blood.
But once she set her sights on Ling Mo, she wouldn’t consider another choice, even if it meant dying with him.
“Zombies are like moths, unwilling to retreat for food or a Mate. They won’t give up, even if it means their own death.”
Ling Mo thought with some reflection, “But unfortunately, I would definitely become a breeding machine, the kind that gets discarded after use.”
Just as Ling Mo was about to use his tentacles to tease the three female Zombies and practice his skills, he suddenly stopped.
“Get under the covers,” Ling Mo said, pulling on a shirt casually and jumping out of bed to the door.
A few seconds later, he flung the door open, revealing Sun Zeya standing outside, looking surprised with her hand raised to knock.
“Is this a coincidence, or are you clairvoyant?” Sun Zeya tilted her head, finally recovering from her shock.
Ling Mo glanced back at the bed, where the three female Zombies were peeking out from under the covers, curiously looking in their direction.
“Looks like I interrupted your fun,” Sun Zeya said with a giggle. Despite her words, there wasn’t a hint of embarrassment on her face.
“What do you need?” Ling Mo rubbed his temples, restraining the urge to throw Sun Zeya out.
After all, she was still injured, with one leg broken.
Ling Mo couldn’t help but think maliciously, why hadn’t she been scratched or bitten by a Zombie?
But then he thought, if that had happened, she probably would have shot herself immediately.
“Oh, it’s like this. The person coming to trade with you has already set off, but they’ll probably arrive tomorrow. They have to walk here, you know… Wait, you don’t understand even that?” Sun Zeya clicked her tongue twice, then grabbed Ling Mo and dragged him out the door. As she led him downstairs, she continued, “In other words, the person is coming on foot. Also, due to the appearance of variation zombies, the Camp will immediately start building the Outpost and begin the construction of the Quarantine Zone as soon as possible.”
“The original plan was to wait until enough information was gathered before starting the Quarantine Zone. But with the situation changing, we need to complete the preliminary work as quickly as possible, probably within a month. I’ll also apply to be stationed in X City, so we might have the chance to meet again.”
Sun Zeya glanced back at Ling Mo, her hand slipping into his unbuttoned shirt, her fingers trailing down his chest: “Every time we meet, I always see little Ling Mo popping up.”
“Stop being so vain… But what does any of this have to do with me? If they’re coming slowly, I can just wait in my room.”
Ling Mo looked at Sun Zeya’s limping leg, a hint of helplessness on his face: “As a girl, can you stop grabbing me every time we meet? It can easily be misunderstood.”
Even with a broken leg, this girl’s arm strength was formidable, and she could still hop around on her toes.
People who could survive in such situations were indeed comparable to variation zombies.
“Because it’s so boring, we decided to find some fun. Your girlfriends don’t really like talking to us, so I came to find you,” Sun Zeya said with a sly smile.
Ling Mo immediately had a bad feeling.
Xia Zhining and the others were already seated in the hall. As soon as Ling Mo arrived, Lin Tianxiang pulled out a handgun from himself and placed it on the table. He then reached out to Ling Mo, saying, “Your knife.”
“What do you mean?” Ling Mo asked, puzzled.
Zhou Guocheng chuckled and said, “Hunting Competition, ever played?”
As he spoke, he took out some bullets, cigarettes, and canned goods from his pocket. “These are the prizes, and I know Captain Xia will bring out even more good stuff because we have an extra guest today.”
“The Hunting Competition is a popular entertainment activity in our Camp. Most people’s hunting targets are ordinary zombies, but our targets are Senior Zombies and variation zombies. The more you kill, the richer the prizes you get,” Xia Zhining said, leaning forward and resting her chin on her hand, her face cold.
She didn’t seem interested in participating in the competition but more in killing more zombies to vent her frustrations.
Lin Tianxiang continued, “But this time, Sun Zeya and Captain Tom are also participating, so as superhumans, we can’t use weapons. It’s to keep things fair.”
Ling Mo leaned back and squinted his eyes.
This kind of competition did interest him, and it did sound fun.
But to bring this up at such a time, especially when one of the participants was a cripple…
“You just want to see what my Superpower is, right?” Ling Mo turned to look at Sun Zeya and asked.
Sun Zeya laughed awkwardly, then suddenly grabbed Ling Mo’s arm. “Please, just satisfy my curiosity! The thought of you leaving us soon makes me so sad! Last time I couldn’t find out anything, so please give me a chance this time! I’m so curious I can’t sleep at night!”
