Chapter 442 – The Girl Emerging from the Blood
“Strike first!”
Seeing the giant Ultraman still not fully formed, Ling Mo pulled Xia Na back while shooting out his psychic tentacles.
A dozen psychic tentacles plunged into the two blood-red hollows, then twisted forcefully.
Ultraman immediately became dizzy. Seizing the moment when it was unsteady, the remaining tentacles wrapped around one of its ankles and yanked hard.
“Fall for me!”
“Ah!”
With a scream, Ultraman lost its balance and fell heavily on its back.
The ground was instantly smashed into a large black hole, with half of Ultraman’s body sinking into it.
It grabbed a nearby utility pole with one hand, struggling to get up.
But at this moment, dozens more psychic tentacles shot out from Ling Mo’s direction, wrapping around its arms and neck, pulling them forward.
Using the force of its attempt to rise, Ling Mo, with minimal psychic power, made Ultraman experience both “backward fall” and “face-down fall” repeatedly.
With each fall, the psychic power that hadn’t fully gathered on Ultraman dissipated a little more.
“It’s not over yet!”
Seeing Ultraman’s shark fin-like head crash in front of him, half of it sunk into the hole, Ling Mo slowly walked over. Two extremely thick tentacles suddenly appeared behind him.
These two tentacles swiftly hovered in mid-air, rising like venomous snakes with a life of their own.
Ultraman struggled to lift its face from the hole, the red glimmer in its eyes slowly converging again.
“Beep”
“Do I really have to say it twice… Beep you mother!”
The two tentacles shot forward again, piercing through Ultraman’s eyes once more.
But this time, it wasn’t psychic interference; it was… Devour!
This giant Ultraman deflated like a punctured balloon, shrinking rapidly at a visible pace.
“Ah… Ah…”
Xia Na widened her eyes, pointing at the shrinking Ultraman, too shocked to speak.
“Why are you so surprised? If your Inner Demon looks like an Inflatable Doll, who are you supposed to blame for that…”
Ling Mo coughed softly and thought, “No matter how huge this Ultraman is, it’s ultimately just made of psychic power. Just like the long-haired youth we encountered before, a Phantom is still just a Phantom. One suck and it’s gone…”
As Ultraman gradually dissipated, Ling Mo felt a sense of fullness, like he had overeaten, coming from within his “body.”
This was because his current “body” was also composed entirely of psychic power.
However, in terms of mental endurance, Ling Mo was well-trained.
In this tug-of-war of endurance, Ultraman quickly succumbed, as if unable to withstand the pull, and suddenly exploded.
“In the end, it even pulled a self-destruct move… This kind of terrorist-like dark thought just suddenly came out!”
From this Ultraman, Xia Na had revealed many things that Ling Mo hadn’t understood before…
“When I get out, I’m definitely going to teach you a lesson… Ah!”
A large swath of Red Glimmer rolled in place for a moment, then surged toward Ling Mo like a rising tide.
He shouted and quickly spread his tentacles in front of him.
The two masses of mental energy collided, splitting the road in front of Ling Mo in two!
In the deep black chasm between, the Red Glimmer surged, dizzying to behold!
The psychic power Ling Mo had just devoured was completely dissipated in this collision, reverting to pure mental energy and returning to Xia Na’s psychic realm.
“Look…”
Xia Na gently touched Ling Mo’s arm and pointed across.
Ling Mo looked closely and saw a faint figure within the Red Glimmer…
“This has got to be a joke! This must be a joke, right? There’s no way Ultraman has reverted back to a Little Monster! This makes no sense!”
After a few internal screams, Ling Mo slowly calmed down.
Speaking of things that make no sense… the idea of a spiritual body entering someone else’s psychic realm was something he had never heard of before…
Without the psychic link between him and Xia Na, no matter how many times he fainted, this probably wouldn’t have happened.
“Since I’ve accepted the existence of a psychic realm, I guess I can grudgingly accept an indestructible Ultraman… Wait a minute! That’s not Ultraman!”
Ling Mo had been ready to take down Ultraman once more, but as the figure slowly emerged from the Red Glimmer, he felt a sense of familiarity!
“This isn’t good…”
A slender figure, a straight back, and atop the head, a glint of cold light flickering in the blood-red glow…
As a shoe-clad foot stepped out from the swirling Red Glimmer, Ling Mo’s mouth gradually dropped open.
Long black hair fluttered without wind, blood-red pupils, exceptionally pale skin, and in her hand, a long Scythe hanging at an angle behind her.
Her school uniform and skirt seemed stained with blood, a shade even darker than typical black…
The girl emerging from the Red Glimmer had a strange smile on her lips, looking at Ling Mo and Xia Na across the chasm: “Hmph.”
Ling Mo stared at the girl for a while, then weakly asked, “What’s with the ‘hmph’? Aren’t you going to explain what’s going on here? Silly Na knows nothing about this memory fragment, but you’re Black Na, you should know everything…”
The girl who appeared after Ultraman’s self-destruction was another persona of Xia Na Black Na, who had purely Zombie-like thoughts!
In this memory fragment, she originally wasn’t supposed to exist…
But if Black Na appeared here, it meant…
“Was it you who dragged me in here?” Ling Mo asked tentatively.
“Not ‘you’; it’s ‘you all.'”
Although Black Na and Silly Na looked identical, their auras were completely different.
Especially in this scenario, when the spiritual body was fully immersed in sensing, the difference was obvious.
Silly Na was purely a human girl, while Black Na’s gaze was cold and sinister. Even without moving, she exuded a terrifying aura.
A humanoid combat weapon, and an exceptionally strong one at that…
“Previously, I hadn’t realized just how strong Xia Na’s psychic power really is. The sheer intimidation from her psychic presence surpasses even her Main Body’s combat abilities. If I guide her properly…”
Ling Mo pondered for a moment and then asked, “What do you mean by that?”
“I can’t do this alone. Ling-Ge, your psychic power is so strong. To establish this deeper level of communication, it requires both Silly Na and me working together.”
Black Na glanced at Silly Na and smiled, “Although we’ve reached a compromise before, it’s only temporary. Silly Na has too many regrets as a human and has never truly accepted becoming a Zombie. As for me, I can’t accept her human emotions. Actually, there’s something you might have misunderstood, Ling-Ge. This isn’t just a memory fragment belonging to Silly Na alone; it’s shared by both of us.”
“It’s just that, for the same memory, we each have our own different interpretations and experiences. Silly Na has never been able to accept it, so I make her accept it. By repeatedly cycling through this memory, she’ll eventually have to face reality.”
“But no matter how many times I cycle through it, Silly Na is too stubborn. She always forcefully stops the memory right at the moment of infection. You’ve seen how strong our psychic power is, Ling-Ge. But we still can’t fully utilize our potential. Do you know why?”
Ling Mo listened quietly, a thoughtful expression on his face.
He had already noticed some clues before, but he hadn’t realized that the problem had become this severe without him knowing.
This issue had always been a hidden danger. Ling Mo originally hoped to address it when Xia Na advanced to the dominant level, but plans couldn’t keep up with changes…
“If her psychic realm is this chaotic, how strong can her psychic power really be?”
Ling Mo sighed and asked, “So, what do you… you all want me to do to help?”
“Originally, I wanted you to help untangle this knot in our hearts, but it seems that hasn’t been very effective…”
Black Na paused, then suddenly smiled, “It’s very simple. Either we completely separate, or one of us devours the other…”
“How is that simple at all!”
