Chapter 544 – A Face That Invites Trouble

“That was fast!” Xiao Ming exclaimed.

He was slowly catching his breath, recovering from the sheer terror of a near-death experience. The relief of surviving overwhelmed him, and he couldn’t care less about his legs anymore; his attention was fully on the battlefield.

“The coordination is amazing!” Guan He remarked.

It was clear that this was a coordinated battle between Ling Mo and Li Yalin, but the level of their synergy was absolutely dazzling to him.

To be able to cooperate so seamlessly in such a rapid battle without any verbal communication left Guan He baffled.

His confusion was understandable. Ling Mo’s Puppet Control superpower allowed him to give commands to Li Yalin with just a thought, achieving almost perfect synchronization.

This kind of coordination was unique to Ling Mo’s ability and couldn’t be replicated by others.

At this moment, Li Yalin had mysteriously appeared behind the variation zombie and delivered a solid kick to its back.

Her strength and speed were formidable. While the kick didn’t cause much damage to the muscle zombie, it did knock it to the ground again.

Before it could get up, Li Yalin stomped on it with a resounding “thud.”

An unknown liquid!

A large mass of liquid suddenly appeared above Ling Mo and the others, with no indication of where it came from.

The liquid above them was blood-red, looking just like fresh blood!

Appearing so mysteriously, their first thought was that it must have been caused by a zombie.

The figure was lying on a tanker truck and turned out to be a bizarre-looking female variation zombie.

Before they could marvel at this, they saw Ye Lian and Xia Na leap up, forcing the female zombie back.

This female variation zombie had an enormously wide mouth and a large belly, making her look incredibly strange, like a huge round barrel mounted on a pair of normal legs.

Despite its odd appearance, the Barrel Zombie was quick.

As soon as Xia Na and the others approached, the Barrel Zombie immediately retreated.

“What does she have in her stomach?” Ling Mo wondered, frowning.

The three of them were useless against such a variation zombie because it was much more troublesome than ordinary zombies.

Meanwhile, over at the Barrel Zombie side, the liquid she spat out was extremely lethal. Ye Lian and Xia Na flanked her from the left and right, keeping her at a safe distance.

While the Barrel Zombie was highly dangerous to humans, to other zombies… she was only good for sneaking behind her kind to pick up scraps.

Guan He and the others had no idea why the Barrel Zombie stopped spitting after the first time. They assumed she had run out of liquid.

Realizing this, Guan He and Huang Duo charged forward noisily.
