“Damn it!” Mu Chen exclaimed in frustration.

“But the fact that he’s still willing to go through such measures,” Xu Shuhan continued, “also proves he is, indeed, sincere about this cooperation.”

“That counts as sincerity?” Mu Chen couldn’t help but roll his eyes.

“Yes, it does. If he were willing to just come with us without precaution, I’d be more inclined to suspect he had ulterior motives,” Xu Shuhan added, not bothering to lower her voice, clearly unafraid of Ling Mo overhearing her.
