Chapter 473 – Iron Rose
“What is Qiyuan doing?” Lu Lingfeng asked bluntly.
“The Young Master is…” Lu Feng hesitated, glancing in the direction not far away.
Boom!
A loud crash echoed as the dark blue alloy giant arm effortlessly penetrated the chest of a red-white mecha.
Lu Yuan casually removed the red-white mecha, which hung from his arm like cured meat, from his grasp.
“What was that noise?”
Through the communicator, Lu Lingfeng’s voice fluctuated, “Why is it so noisy over there…”
“The Young Master is…” Lu Feng hesitated before replying, “Training.”
“Let Qiyuan speak,” Lu Lingfeng demanded coldly.
“…Okay.”
Lu Feng fell silent for a second, then quickly notified Lu Yuan, transferring Lu Lingfeng’s signal to him.
“Lu Lingfeng?..”
Lu Yuan, who was casually dealing with the remnants, blinked when he saw the transferred call from Lu Feng.
He quickly composed himself, and made a “silence” gesture to the red-white mecha he was holding by the neck, dangling mid-air, flailing about.
“Shush-“
The red-white mecha, filled with terror and despair, struggled in Lu Yuan’s iron grip. Seeing Lu Yuan’s gesture, it looked puzzled for a moment but then, surprisingly, cooperated and stopped moving, obediently nodding its head.
Thump!
Lu Yuan forcefully squeezed a small flame in his hand and casually tossed the limp red-white mecha aside like trash. Then he spoke indifferently into the communicator, “Hello.”
“Qiyuan.”
Hearing Lu Yuan’s voice, Lu Lingfeng’s tone seemed to soften slightly.
“I heard you ran into some trouble?”
“Yeah.”
Lu Yuan responded nonchalantly while his figure flickered, appearing beside another level 5 mecha.
With a casual hook punch, he sent it flying with a boom.
“Just a minor trouble.”
After dispatching the mecha, Lu Yuan scanned the area for his next target, speaking lightly, “It’s already dealt with now.”
“That’s good to hear.”
Lu Lingfeng spoke in a grave tone, “If you encounter a problem you can’t solve, remember to look for Dongmu first. He will do everything within his power to help you…”
“Got it.”
“Remember, don’t cause any trouble…”
“Okay…”
Lu Yuan responded to Lu Lingfeng’s instructions and questions in an intermittent manner, never pausing in his movements even for half a second.
Gliding through the area like a ghost, the level 4 and level 5 Mechas could not match his speed, let alone resist or even attempt to flee.
Half a minute later.
Standing atop the ruins ablaze with orange-red flames, Lu Yuan stood quietly.
His right hand was raised flat, his fingers tightly gripping the head of a battered Purple Mecha.
He tilted his head slightly, continuously murmuring, “Okay, okay, I know…”
“Ding-“
After hanging up on Lu Lingfeng’s call, Lu Yuan breathed a sigh of relief.
He hadn’t expected the usually stern and aloof Lu Lingfeng to have such a nagging side.
Thankfully, the constant nagging had finally ended.
Turning his head, Lu Yuan’s gaze fell back on the Purple Mecha in his hand.
By now, all the demon grease pirates who had attacked were down, leaving only the one Lu Yuan was holding.
This one was the strongest, with both mental power and Mecha reaching level 6, somewhat like a minor leader.
His mental power pierced through the battered shell of the Purple Mecha, seeing a pale woman with purple hair in the cockpit, appearing to be in a state of collapse.
She was beautiful and well-proportioned, with a striking figure.
This was beyond Lu Yuan’s expectations.
“I thought… [Power Halo]’s Effect was supposed to turn women into tomboys?”
Lu Yuan couldn’t help but ask curiously, looking at the woman before him, “Aren’t you practicing [Power Halo]?”
Feeling Lu Yuan’s eyes roaming over her, a faint blush appeared on the lovely cheeks of the woman in the cockpit, and a flash of strong annoyance and resentment passed through her eyes.
“Pah!”
She spat at Lu Yuan.
From somewhere in the head of the Purple Mecha, a jet of black oil shot out, splashing effortlessly across Lu Yuan’s face.
“Do what you want with me! We’ve been beaten this time, but don’t get cocky, the leader won’t let you off the hook!”
The Purple mecha glared at Lu Yuan, teeth clenched in anger.
Faced with the woman’s cold and resentful gaze, Lu Yuan calmly wiped the black engine oil from his face, speaking softly, “Don’t act like I’m the villain here… It was you who attacked me first…”
After he spoke, Lu Yuan released the woman’s head from his grasp.
The Purple mecha crashed to the ground with a clatter, its body trembling, but its head still defiantly raised, staring at him.
The next second, the woman’s resentful expression suddenly froze.
Standing before her, the Nightmare-like dark blue mecha began to leak a thick, syrupy black liquid from within.
This black liquid, like the Black Tide, swept around in waves, roaming over the ruins, weaving through the flames, and enveloping the mechas sprawled on the ground, already devoid of any fighting capacity, and then…
It retracted!
The woman’s pupils contracted as she watched the dark blue mecha, already massive, slowly swell even more with the integration of the vast amount of black liquid.
One meter… Two meters… Three meters…
The dark blue mecha’s size kept increasing, becoming more and more immense…
It was like a rapidly expanding shadow.
The shadow enveloped the woman, completely covering her in darkness.
“You… you…”
The woman’s gaze became vacant as she stared at what was now a huge, irregularly shaped black Flesh Ball in front of her, no longer retaining any form of a mecha.
It was as if someone was tightly choking her, making it extremely difficult to breathe out two words: “Monster… Monster!”
At that moment.
A muscular, alloy-twined arm, grotesque and sturdy, suddenly emerged from the black Flesh Ball, clutching the woman’s head.
A slightly hoarse voice emanated from the ceaselessly writhing black Flesh Ball.
“Let’s go, it’s time to meet your leader, Iron Rose…”
“Ugh…”
Floating giant gears.
Rusty yet tirelessly operating steel giant arms.
The air was filled with a faint light mist, refracting a dazzling array of colors in the sunlight.
Desolate, dilapidated, yet possessing a dreamy and aesthetic quality.
In the early days when Planet Lirva was discovered, like many other resource planets, it underwent a period of primitive and violent exploitation.
This process left behind many abandoned industrial mining sites.
Unregulated and reckless exploitation resulted in massive environmental pollution.
Intense radiation surrounded these mining sites, and unless one was a pilot with strong mental power and wearing protective gear, any ordinary person who dared to step into the radiation zone would find their flesh corroded and melted within less than half a minute.
However, because of this trait, similar abandoned mining sites became havens for pirate groups. The strong radiation blocked most signal detection, forming a natural barrier that protected them, allowing them to settle and survive there.
This relatively small abandoned mining site is currently a temporary base for the notorious Demon Grease Pirate group on Planet Lirva.
Inside the base, a banquet was taking place.
In a not-so-luxurious black hall, two burly men were fiercely fighting, engaged in a deadly combat, desperately tearing bloody wounds into each other.
Several long tables were set up around the fighting area, laden with steaming delicacies and fine wines.
A man with triangular eyes, exuding a cold aura and rough appearance, sat at one of the long tables.
One hand continuously grabbed food from the table to stuff into his mouth, while the other hand roughly groped a voluptuous, scantily clad young girl beside him.
His grip was not gentle, and the accompanying girl’s delicate brows furrowed in pain, her face occasionally showing signs of discomfort, sometimes even causing her lips to quiver with pain. But she did not dare to utter a single sound of displeasure.
The man was like a beast, wantonly indulging his desires, yet his attention wasn’t really on the fight, the food, or the girl serving him.
His eyes remained fixed in a single direction the entire time.
Across from him, at the head of the hall, sat a long table.
A striking woman with rose-colored hair, boasting a figure so alluring it was almost explosive, was lounging casually at the table, sipping intermittently from a silver goblet.
“If you keep staring, I can’t promise I won’t dig your eyes out in the next second…”
The woman with the rose-colored hair set her goblet down, glanced at the Triangular-eyed man, and spoke lazily.
Despite the warning, the Triangular-eyed man remained unfazed, instead letting out a chuckle as he tore into a piece of cooked meat in his hand, saying, “The famed Iron Rose, Sonis, surely isn’t someone who disregards the bigger picture…”
“Oh?”
Sonis lifted her gaze slightly and looked at the man, speaking in a calm tone, “Why don’t you tell me, what is this bigger picture?”
His eyes gleaming with intense greed, the Triangular-eyed man lowered his voice and said, “Naturally, it’s to seize the Treasure, capture that fat pig, the Gem Lord, and if possible, plunder all of Planet Lirva…”
“Indeed, quite the grand scheme.”
Sonis raised her smooth, white arm, giving a slight clap, then looked at the Triangular-eyed man before her with a faint smile, adding softly, “So, tell me, between your pair of eyeballs and the position of my Demon Grease pirate group in this grand scheme, which is more important?”
The man’s expression suddenly shifted, and he was about to say something when a flash of red light streaked across the dim hall.
“Whoosh-“
A gut-wrenching scream erupted from him as he violently shoved aside the girl serving him, kicked over the table in front, and stood up clutching his left eye.
“You little bitch, you’re courting death!”
His face twisted in rage, glaring fiercely at Sonis. Blood streamed through the fingers of the hand covering his left eye.
“Both level 7, you think I’m afraid of you?”
Sonis, unperturbed by his threats, stood up with a cheerful smile.
“Feel free to try.”
By now, those who were performing and serving in the hall had withdrawn.
Instead, a series of burly women, each with a face full of hostility, slowly emerged from the shadows. Their eyes locked onto the man, glowing with the savage and brutal ferocity of a beast.
The man’s expression shifted for a moment, then he let out a frustrated growl and sat back down.
Ignoring the blood covering his face and head, he began shoveling scattered food from the floor into his mouth with both hands like a madman.
“I knew it…”
Sonis clapped her hands playfully and said with a beaming smile, “Every member of Sea Wolf’s team is an elite, prioritizing the bigger picture!
I really envy Commander Sea Wolf…”
“Hmph-“
The Triangular-eyed man shot Sonis a venomous glare but said nothing.
Seeing his subdued demeanor and feeling she had delivered enough of a lesson, Sonis seemed satisfied.
She glanced around the hall and said nonchalantly, “Alright, I’ve received Commander Sea Wolf’s message.
Go back and tell him we won’t miss out.
When the time comes, I’ll personally lead my team there.”
“You better be telling the truth,” the Triangular-eyed man said with a sinister tone, pausing his feasting, “Otherwise, you know very well the severe consequences of crossing our commander…”
Sonis responded with silence, her gaze cold and detached as she looked at the man.
He wiped his mouth with his sleeve and started to stand up.
Just then, the doors of the black hall were suddenly pushed open from the outside, and a battered black Mecha staggered in.
“Commander…”
“What is it?!”
Sonis’s expression turned serious upon seeing the sudden entry of the black Mecha.
The black Mecha was about to report when suddenly…
“Boom!”
A terrifying explosion echoed, as if something heavy had suddenly crashed from above. The entire floor of the black hall shook violently.
As the dust settled, blinding sunlight poured through a gaping hole in the hall’s ceiling.
Everyone saw that where the black Mecha had stood was now a towering Mecha over ten meters high, colored a deep blue, nearly black, with smooth lines and immense strength, standing silently.
At the feet of the Mecha stood the black Mecha that had rushed in to report, pinned down. In one hand, as if grasping a helpless chick, it clutched a battered Purple Mecha.
Although it had barged in uninvited, the Mecha surveyed its surroundings with an air of dominance, as if proclaiming itself the master of the hall.
“Dai’er!”
Upon recognizing the newcomer, Sonis immediately focused her gaze on the purple Mecha in its grasp. Her pupils constricted as she exclaimed instinctively.
“You’re courting death!”
Sonis’s expression turned icy cold in an instant. Her body moved in a blur, transforming into an intensely bright light as she sped towards the Mecha.
“Star Martial Arts?”
Noticing Sonis transform into a dazzling light, the dark blue mecha’s eyes wavered slightly, seemingly surprised.
“Quite impressive…”
It stated calmly, then casually swung its palm with force.
The terrifying alloy giant arm dragged through the air like the writhing of a giant python, accompanied by a deep whooshing sound, colliding with the incoming light with a resounding “boom.”
“Boom!”
A visible shockwave of white light erupted from the collision point.
The dark blue mecha remained unmoved, retracting its hand, eyeing the crystalline marks on its palm with a slight frown.
Sonis returned to her original position, watching the dark blue mecha’s actions, slightly surprised that it seemed completely unfazed.
“Haha, Sonis!”
At this moment, laughter erupted from a corner of the hall.
The blood-covered Triangular-eyed man laughed heartily as he quickly approached, saying, “To be tracked down by an enemy at your doorstep, you’ve really brought great honor to our United Space Pirate League…”
As the Triangular-eyed man laughed, the dark blue mecha suddenly interrupted.
“Who are you?”
The Triangular-eyed man cast a mocking glance at the livid Sonis and was about to introduce himself.
In the next second, what appeared to be a massive, black, wheel-like great sun rapidly expanded in his constricted pupils, carrying an overwhelmingly terrifying presence.
Accompanied by a cold, indifferent young voice.
“I’m here to cause trouble for Iron Rose. Who are you, some nobody, daring to butt in?!”
“Back off!”
