“A dragon?” Lin Xi blinked, as if her brain had to add a few missing frames.

She hadn’t seen wrong. It really was a dragon.

An emerald-colored Giant Dragon was hovering in midair, beating its wings.

A deep roar rolled out with it, the soundwaves spreading in heavy surges.

At that moment, it was slowly circling, its massive body carving a majestic arc beneath the vault of the sky.

A chill ran down Lin Xi’s spine.

The blades gleamed with cold light, reflecting her firm, composed eyes.

Not far away, Misaka Shirai stood suspended in the air, her gray skirt snapping violently in the wind.

But most of the Ice Swords still broke through the wind barrier and slammed hard into the Giant Dragon’s scales, ringing out with crisp clangs.

The Giant Dragon roared, opening its bloody maw and spewing a scorching breath of flame.

Sensing the deadly threat, the Giant Dragon widened its eyes of burning green flame and swiftly twisted aside to dodge.

The Electromagnetic Beam grazed the Giant Dragon’s body, scorching the scales along its right side. The Giant Dragon howled in pain, releasing an even more savage roar.

The wounded Giant Dragon was thoroughly enraged. It folded its wings, and its entire body plunged downward like a falling meteor, diving straight toward Xia Xun and Misaka Shirai.

It moved so fast it kicked up a sonic boom.

The instant it closed in on the two of them, it opened its massive jaws and spewed out a surging blast of dark green flame.

The fire was laced with potent toxins, as if it meant to burn everything in its path to ash.

Xia Xun and Misaka Shirai exchanged a glance, and an unspoken understanding sparked between them.

Xia Xun instantly condensed a huge Ice Shield in front of her. The Ice Shield was thick and transparent, its inner patterns like mysterious runes, radiating waves of blue light.

Misaka Shirai continuously poured electromagnetic energy into the Ice Shield. In an instant, arcs of electricity danced across its surface. The two powers fused together, causing the Ice Shield’s defensive strength to skyrocket.

The flames slammed hard into the Ice Shield. For a moment, ice and fire collided with a deafening roar.

Under the scorching blaze, the Ice Shield kept melting and evaporating, only to be rapidly repaired and reinforced by Xia Xun and Misaka Shirai as they maintained it with all their might.

The surrounding air warped violently, forming visible vortexes one after another as wild energy spilled in every direction.

After a brief stalemate, the Giant Dragon’s flames began to weaken.

But Xia Xun’s Ice Shield began expanding at an extreme rate.

Xia Xun intended to create an Ice Prison and completely trap the Giant Dragon inside.

The surrounding temperature plummeted, and the moisture in the air swiftly froze into ice.

Sensing that something was wrong, the Giant Dragon flapped its wings, trying to escape the Ice Prison’s enclosure.

Unexpectedly, its claws had sunk into the hardened ice, making it difficult to break free.

Misaka Shirai seized the opportunity. She gathered all the electromagnetic energy in her body into her hands.

That overwhelming power made every strand of her hair stand on end, crackling and popping with electricity.

“Try this!” she shouted, thrusting both hands forward.

Two thick Electromagnetic Beam attacks shot out like a pair of blue flood dragons, roaring toward the Giant Dragon.

The beams struck the Giant Dragon squarely in the abdomen. The Giant Dragon let out a pained roar, its body trembling violently.

A cornered beast would still fight. It struggled with all its might, and its enormous strength caused cracks to spread through the ice.

Xia Xun understood that they had to press the advantage and give the Giant Dragon no chance to catch its breath.

The Ice Sword in her hand blazed with light. She leaped high into the air and charged at the Giant Dragon like a streak of sky-blue lightning.

At the very instant the Giant Dragon was about to break free from the ice, Xia Xun swung the Ice Sword and drove it viciously into the Giant Dragon’s neck.

The Ice Sword pierced through the Giant Dragon’s scales and sank into its flesh. Blood gushed out like a fountain.

The Giant Dragon let out a despairing howl, lost its balance, and crashed heavily toward the ground.

Watching Xia Xun and Misaka Shirai beat the Giant Dragon so badly it had no chance to fight back, Lin Xi felt a little guilty.
