Chapter 184 – The Yuri Situation Keeps Changing

As noon approached, time ran out on the fishing competition. Lin Xi carried the keepnet back with Zhao Xinning and Xia Xun.

They had caught five fish in all-and not a single one was Lin Xi’s.

She hadn’t had any time to fish. She had spent the entire morning running between Zhao Xinning and Xia Xun, helping the two of them.

So she deserved at least some credit for those five fish.

The three of them returned just as Shi Yu’s team arrived.

Lin Xi spotted only two fish in Shi Yu’s keepnet, neither of them large, and grinned.

“Didn’t someone call herself an expert angler?”

“And that’s all you caught?”

Lin Xi’s team had crushed Shi Yu’s.

Shi Yu heaved a mournful sigh. “If Lu Yi had been on your team, you would understand that catching two at all is an achievement.”

Lin Xi stared at her in confusion.

What on earth had Lu Yi done to leave Shi Yu this helpless?

Did having a Neko sitting on the bank frighten all the fish in the water away or something?

Lin Xi came away certain of only one thing: never team up with Lu Yi when fishing!

The Yang sisters, Yang Shanshan and Yang Tongtong, were the last to return.

“Whoa!-” Lin Xi gaped at their haul. “You filled the whole keepnet?!”

“Of course,” Yang Tongtong said. “Sis and I caught ten fish-and every last one is huge!”

Lin Xi and Shi Yu were both dumbstruck.

Zhao Xinning and Xia Xun had the same immediate thought: Our team lost! Somehow, that felt ominous…

Lu Yi began drooling without a shred of dignity.

Lin Xi still vividly remembered losing to Yang Shanshan on their last fishing trip. “Shanshan, aren’t your skills and luck a little too incredible?”

“What are you, some kind of born fishing prodigy? The ancient Greek goddess of fishing?”

“I, um… suppose I was rather lucky,” Yang Shanshan replied guiltily.

Extremely guiltily.

Because she had cheated again.

At first, she had scoffed at the very idea and warned her sister that cheating was still cheating. Even if they failed to catch a single fish, they were not to use their powers.

Yang Tongtong talked the most. Lu Yi talked the least, because she was too busy eating.

“Lin Xi, I’ve decided what I want as my extra reward!” As a member of the winning team, Yang Tongtong had the right to request one.

“I want to sleep in the same tent as you tonight!”
