Chapter 114 – Shadows in the Night

As soon as the mouse died, Xia Na immediately showed a disappointed expression, like she hadn’t had enough fun.

“What happened here?” he whispered in a low voice, so close to her ear that anyone standing even a meter away wouldn’t hear him.

The girl, wide-eyed with terror, couldn’t speak. The man freed one hand, extending it in front of her. “Write it down,” he commanded softly.

Panicked by the sudden attack, the girl struggled desperately. Showing no mercy, the man punched her hard in the stomach. Then, coldly, he added, “Write.”

The girl convulsed in pain, tears streaming down her face, yet she couldn’t make a sound.

She trembled with great fear and slowly raised her hand, writing with her fingers in the open palm of the person’s hand, stroke by stroke…
