Chapter 600 – The Hand Sticking Out from the Wall

“There’s one here too.”

Li Yalin also found one, another variation zombie with a local mutation but of a very low level.

Ling Mo walked over to take a look and found some differences.

This zombie’s body was much more intact than the previous one, making it easier to observe comprehensively.

Ling Mo pulled Ye Lian over and they squatted down in front of the corpse. Using Ye Lian’s perspective, they scanned the body from head to toe, and then he drew out his dagger.

“Are you going to dissect it again?” Xia Na asked excitedly.

“No way we have time for that.” Ling Mo rolled his eyes and carefully brought the tip of the dagger to the zombie’s neck, gently scraping it.

“Look.” He held the tip of the dagger up to Ye Lian’s eyes and said.

Xia Na and Li Yalin both leaned in while Ye Lian’s mouth formed an “o” shape as she exclaimed, “Wow… white… liquid.”

“Yeah, it’s not a watery corpse, but it has a layer of this mucus on it. No wonder I couldn’t sense it when it was alive. It’s like it’s covered by a psychic shield membrane…” Ling Mo said, frowning.

“Do you remember what I said earlier?” Xia Na suddenly asked mysteriously.

Ling Mo suddenly understood and nodded: “Are you saying… these watery corpses were originally just regular zombies?”

“Exactly!” Xia Na laughed gleefully.

What she had said earlier was pretty much this idea, and it aligned with the bet she made with Ling Mo.

Now that Ling Mo had nodded, Xia Na was naturally quite pleased…

But they were, in fact, trapped there. What was truly horrifying was the live zombie struggling to break free from the mucus layer among the watery corpses!

Its upper body was entirely out, one hand reaching desperately towards Ling Mo. Its deformed face, with those blood-red eyes, looked like it wanted to devour Ling Mo.

“This…” Ling Mo was stunned for a moment.

He finally understood what these mucus-covered variation zombies were all about…

In reality, they were… watery corpses too!

“If this place is indeed a factory for producing variation zombies, then… are all these watery corpses just raw materials?”
