Chapter 75 – Zombies Actually Have Physiological Reactions
Fortunately, Xia Na and Ye Lian sobered up almost as quickly as they got drunk. However, by the time they let go of themselves, Ling Mo felt utterly exhausted.
Gasping for air, he firmly told Xia Na, “You’re not allowed to touch alcohol ever again!”
Xia Na’s eyes, which had been slightly red, had returned to their usual color. But perhaps because she was a Zombie, her eyes appeared unusually bright, even in the dim light.
The same was true for Ye Lian. In terms of evolution, Ye Lian was more advanced than Xia Na, and she was the first to regain her clarity. If it hadn’t been for Ye Lian’s help, Ling Mo would have been powerless to resist.
Being kissed by a girl is generally a highly enjoyable experience, especially when it’s two at once.
But when both of these girls are Zombies, it’s not so pleasant, particularly when they have no sense of boundaries.
Ling Mo couldn’t help but recall the catastrophe that occurred when they were bathing, and his anger flared up. He grabbed Xia Na and pulled her into his arms, kissing her hard. “That’s for wanting to bite me earlier!”
“Mm…” Xia Na could easily have resisted with her abilities, but she didn’t because it was Ling Mo.
She probably sensed that Ling Mo was genuinely upset, so she cooperated willingly. When Ling Mo pried open her lips, she even proactively offered her tongue.
“Hmm, you’re learning fast with your technique,” Ling Mo thought as the saliva of the Zombie girl flowed into his throat. A burst of warmth surged through his body, quickly replenishing some of the energy he had just expended.
After letting go of Xia Na, Ling Mo glanced at Ye Lian, chuckled, and pulled her into his arms as well.
While Ye Lian wasn’t as proactive as Xia Na, she didn’t resist either. Although Ling Mo could compel Ye Lian to cooperate, he didn’t want to do such a thing to her.
After Ye Lian had fully replenished her energy, Ling Mo lay comfortably on the floor mat, holding the two female Zombies in his arms. Because the mat was too small, the three of them had to squeeze together tightly, which was an enjoyable experience for Ling Mo.
Although this wasn’t the first time they had slept like this, Ling Mo still solemnly said, “I’m doing this to prevent you from hurting anyone during the night. After all, there are two other people here.”
Xia Na looked at Ling Mo with a somewhat puzzled expression, then glanced at Ye Lian lying on the other side before slowly nodding.
“Good girl,” Ling Mo praised, his hand sliding “unintentionally” down to rest on Xia Na’s firm buttocks.
“Living with Survivors is really frustrating; otherwise, I’d have some fun with you two…” Ling Mo sighed. Xia Na, seemingly uncomfortable with the position, wriggled a bit, causing her chest to press against Ling Mo’s arm. “What kind of fun?”
“Games.”
“What kind of games?”
“The kind that makes you feel really good.”
“Can we play now?” Xia Na’s unusually bright eyes flashed with anticipation, and she added, “Ye Lian would want to play too.”
Ling Mo felt a pang of sadness. “No, there are other people here… Alright, let’s sleep. We need to go to X City University tomorrow. I wonder if Ye Lian will remember anything once we’re there.”
Although the possibility was slim, Ling Mo had a faint hope in his heart.
Listening to the three of them finally quiet down after a long while, Lin Luanqiu, who was lying on the single bed, couldn’t help but let out a wry smile. She raised her hand to touch her cheek and sighed, “It’s a good thing he didn’t really go wild…”
The night passed quickly. Early in the morning, Shi Bin, who had stared into the darkness in the private room all night, knocked on the kitchen door. “Get up! It’s already daylight!”
He didn’t open the door recklessly, worried that he might see something even more unbearable than last night.
But to his surprise, as soon as he finished speaking, the door creaked open, revealing Ye Lian’s cold, indifferent face and chilling eyes.
Although Ye Lian’s face was extremely delicate, especially her fair skin and slightly tousled long hair that made it hard to look away, Shi Bin couldn’t help but shiver the moment he saw her. His eye twitched immediately.
Ye Lian hadn’t spared him any suffering, even when she had twisted his arms behind his back without the slightest hint of mercy. At that time, he had felt as if his arms were about to be snapped.
After a night’s rest, most of his injuries were no longer a problem, but the psychological trauma would take much longer to heal.
So, when Ye Lian stared at him silently, Shi Bin averted his gaze and said, “It’s daylight. We should get going. Please call Ling Mo.”
Ye Lian gave him a cold look and then slammed the door shut.
A flash of anger crossed Shi Bin’s face, but as Lin Luanqiu had pointed out, though he was angry, he didn’t dare to actually vent his anger on Ling Mo and his group. He could only stew in his frustration.
In reality, Ling Mo wasn’t ignoring him intentionally. He was busy with something important: helping Xia Na get dressed.
He had long since developed the habit of getting up at the crack of dawn, so he didn’t actually need Shi Bin’s reminder. He had just finished helping Ye Lian get dressed when Shi Bin knocked on the door.
“These clothes with all these holes are really hard to take off!”
When Xia Na had gotten up, she had moved too quickly and hadn’t noticed that the hem of her dress was pinned under Ling Mo’s arm. As a result, with a ripping sound, clothes were torn open a slit.
Fortunately, they had a couple of spare outfits in their backpack. After helping Ye Lian put on her jacket, Ling Mo turned to help Xia Na remove her damaged clothing.
Xia Na seemed to find it amusing and interesting that Ling Mo was frowning as he carefully undressed her. She didn’t move, just waited for him to pull off the extremely sexy but poorly made garment.
Xia Na’s breasts, clad in slightly oversized underwear, were immediately exposed to Ling Mo’s eyes. Because the underwear was a bit too big, Ling Mo could see the entirety of her breasts from his angle, even noticing the points that had hardened from the cold air.
“Zombies have physiological reactions too!” This discovery left Ling Mo stunned. However, before he could examine further, there was a soft click, followed by a cough.
Lin Luanqiu stood at the warehouse door, her face flushed. She seemed to be in better spirits but was now looking at Ling Mo and the scantily clad Xia Na with a peculiar expression.
“Uh…”
Ling Mo quickly dressed Xia Na in the clothes he had found and helped her put on a jacket, feeling slightly awkward. “Don’t mind us, hahaha…”
While he laughed awkwardly, Ling Mo was inwardly frustrated. In such situations, shouldn’t a normal person quietly turn away? Like Shi Bin last night鈥”even though that guy was annoying, at least he knew not to look when he shouldn’t!
But Lin Luanqiu, a smart girl, kept her eyes fixed on Ling Mo and Xia Na, forcing him to end his appreciation of Xia Na’s body in silence. This was definitely intentional!
“You treat your girlfriend well, even helping her dress,” Lin Luanqiu said with a slight smile. If it weren’t for the lingering blush on her face, anyone would have thought she hadn’t seen anything just now.
Ling Mo smiled but then took a bottle of milk from his bag and tossed it to Lin Luanqiu. “Still good, drink it to replenish your strength.”
Given Lin Luanqiu’s physical condition, she shouldn’t have been able to catch the bottle. However, her superhuman ability, Bullet Time, was indeed useful. As the milk bottle approached her and began to fall, Lin Luanqiu calmly reached out and caught it precisely. The combination of speed and slowness gave a seamless impression.
Being able to slow down movements is quite amazing… But abilities like this should have growth potential, just like his Puppet Control Ability. To truly become stronger, one must find new ways to use these abilities, gradually uncovering their full potential. This is the true evolution for superhumans.
“Thank you,” Lin Luanqiu said gratefully.
Lin Luanqiu’s poor health was due to both illness and lack of nutrition. Although Shi Bin saved the better food for her, what nutritional value could those items have?
After eating an entire pack of biscuits yesterday, her energy noticeably improved. It was clear that she hadn’t just been eating poorly—she hadn’t been eating enough at all!
Thinking about this, Ling Mo couldn’t help but feel some sympathy for Lin Luanqiu. Despite being a superhuman, she was living in such a miserable state…
But her condition was probably similar to that of most survivors. The apocalypse was incredibly harsh on ordinary people. Even Ling Mo had to tread carefully, as any misstep could lead to disaster, like the time at New Era Square when he was nearly killed by an Advanced Zombie. Danger lurked everywhere.
“Are we going in through the back door today?”
Ling Mo asked as he retrieved some food from his backpack and began eating.
Lin Luanqiu shook her head. “No, there are too many zombies at the back door. It’s better to go in the same way we escaped—climbing over the wall.”
“Alright, you know the way, so we’ll follow your lead,” Ling Mo nodded and then added, “Let me explain my goal first. I want to go to the area with the highest concentration of zombies.”
Lin Luanqiu looked a bit surprised by Ling Mo’s unexpected request. She hesitated for a moment but didn’t question him, instead nodding, “Sure. The school hospital is near that area anyway.”
“So, where do you think the most zombies are?” Ling Mo asked, seeing how straightforward Lin Luanqiu was.
Lin Luanqiu smiled, “That would be the dormitory area. I’m certain it’s the most densely populated with zombies. Don’t worry, I won’t deceive you. After all, in front of you, I have no ability to resist.”
