"If that happens, I'll communicate with the Treasure Land Guardian and have the entrance to the Outpost Treasure Land opened immediately, allowing forces from other Countries and organizations to enter."

At Lin Haifeng's words, every officer present turned to stare at him in surprise.

In their eyes, the entire Outpost Treasure Land had effectively become the private property of the Huaxia Military. To most of those present, sharing this Treasure Land with other Countries was unthinkable.

However, after briefly weighing the pros and cons, nearly everyone nodded in approval.

The longer the Treasure Land remained open, the more time the Military would have to train its troops, and the greater the benefits it would reap.

If they could no longer withstand the Demonic Creature assault, then rather than abandon the Treasure Land, they might as well bring in Reinforcements and hold out for as long as possible.

It would benefit everyone involved.

"Since no one has any objections, the implementation plan for our first strategic objective is settled."

"Kuangliu will be responsible for it."

With those two simple statements, the first strategic plan for the Outpost was finalized.

"The second objective concerns the Demon Qi Shield Generator inside Demon City."

As Lin Haifeng spoke, he tapped the cylindrical object pictured in the document before him, then glanced at Feng Guansheng.

Feng Guansheng immediately understood what he meant. He coughed twice and cleared his throat before speaking.

"According to the Academy of Sciences' research, this Demon Qi Shield Generator should be something we can use. Judging by its base, it isn't rooted to the ground. In other words, it can be moved."

"The Academy of Sciences hopes the Military can bring it back. If we can extract any technology related to the use of Demon Qi from this device, it would provide an enormous boost to the Military's combat strength. Even if we fail to develop any new technology from it, using the device to protect the Yanjing Settlement would still be worthwhile."

After finishing, Feng Guansheng nodded to Lin Haifeng.

Lin Haifeng turned directly to Kuangliu.

"This is a secondary strategic objective. Accomplishing it would be ideal, but failure is acceptable. However, we can't deploy a large force to seize the Demon Qi Shield Generator, and using heavy weapons would also be difficult. My proposal is to gather our strongest fighters and launch a surprise raid. What do you think?"

Attacking Demon City with a large force would result in too many casualties, while heavy weapons might damage the Demon Qi Shield Generator.

After hearing Lin Haifeng's proposal, Kuangliu studied the image in his hand, then slowly shook his head.

"I can't do it alone. The Military's other elite fighters aren't strong enough either. Even with Wen Yu, it would still be extremely difficult."

The problem Kuangliu referred to wasn't how they would enter Demon City, but how they would carry that massive object all the way from Demon City back to the Outpost.

The Rank C Spatial Ring in Wen Yu's possession had been taken from Old Master Fang. Given Old Master Fang's status, there was no question that the Spatial Ring was of excellent quality.

Yet even a Rank C Spatial Ring only had an internal capacity of 10×10×10. The Demon Qi Shield Generator simply wouldn't fit inside.

Hearing Kuangliu's answer, Lin Haifeng nodded without saying anything further.

Judging by his furrowed brow, it was obvious that Lin Haifeng did not possess a Spatial Ring large enough for the task either.

After a long silence, Lin Haifeng still shook his head.

"If we get the chance, we'll give it a try. If not, we'll let it go."

Compared to the strategy of using this opportunity to train the troops, seizing the Demon Qi Shield Generator was only a tentative objective. Lin Haifeng had no intention of making it mandatory.

"As for the third strategy, it concerns the ultimate reward for destroying Demon City."

"There's no need to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs, but if the situation becomes untenable, we'll destroy Demon City with nuclear weapons before we withdraw and claim the ultimate reward."

"Prepare two five-hundred-kiloton nuclear warheads and position them in front of the Treasure Land entrance, ready to launch at any time."

"Yes, sir!"

This was more an order than a proposal, and one of the officers below immediately acknowledged it.

Lin Haifeng nodded faintly, rose to his feet, and declared, "Meeting adjourned!"

After everyone else had left, Lin Haifeng and Kuangliu remained in their seats.

Kuangliu had also quietly asked Wen Yu to stay behind.

The meeting just now had been an internal Military discussion. Strictly speaking, it had little to do with Wen Yu. At most, he had learned the good news that the Military still intended to hold the Outpost, and agreed to a mutually beneficial exchange.

So Kuangliu asking him to stay left Wen Yu somewhat puzzled.

Once only Lin Haifeng, Kuangliu, and Wen Yu remained in the conference room, Lin Haifeng finally spoke.

"I hope you won't take offense at what we discussed earlier, Wen Yu."

Lin Haifeng addressed him with a genial smile, displaying none of the commanding presence he had shown moments ago.

Wen Yu shook his head.

"It's an exchange of benefits, isn't it?"

"Exactly! That's why dealing with you is such a pleasure."

Lin Haifeng smiled and nodded before continuing.

"We don't actually need you to babysit anyone. You just need to keep moving around the front lines and hunt high-level Bipedal Lizard monsters."

Wen Yu nodded. Lin Haifeng had shown ample consideration for his thoughts and preferences.

Ever since Wen Yu arrived at the Yanjing Settlement, Lin Haifeng had always treated him courteously. That was also an important reason Wen Yu had felt compelled to agree earlier.

"As for the Dark Attribute Magic Crystal issue, you can rest assured. We still have plenty in the Military armory, more than enough for your Promotion."

"Good to hear."

Wen Yu smiled.

After another long pause, Lin Haifeng spoke again.

"What do you think about what I said earlier, about seizing the Demon Qi Shield Generator?"

It seemed Lin Haifeng was not nearly as indifferent to the matter as he had appeared.

Wen Yu took a sip of water and answered bluntly.

"Kuangliu and I can't do it on our own."

That was simply the truth. Judging by the size of the Demon Qi Shield Generator, it was easy to estimate how much it weighed.

Even One-Eye would probably struggle to carry it. If Xing was tasked with hauling the Demon Qi Shield Generator, who would do the fighting?

Kuangliu could not handle it alone. Wen Yu was not willing to take that risk.

"Mm."

Lin Haifeng nodded at Wen Yu's answer, then asked in a solemn tone, "What if, and I mean if, I could find at least three more experts on your level? Would it be possible then?"

Wen Yu immediately looked up and stared at Lin Haifeng in surprise.

Kuangliu, however, frowned.

"Sequence 5 counts as one. How come I don't know anything about the other two?"
