The desolate streets were littered with the bodies of zombies. Shattered glass windows from bullet impacts and abandoned cars clogged the roadways. A group of shadowy figures moved through the chaos.

Xia Zhining stood outside a store, comparing the address with a map, then turned to Ling Mo and the others:

“They should be around here. Sun Zeya reported that they were near Jianshe Avenue, preparing to move towards Lotus Street. A few minutes later, we completely lost contact with the camp. This is the midpoint between the two streets. If they were forced into a battle of attrition, they could be nearby.”

“But judging by the state of blood coagulation on these bodies, they’ve been dead for at least a day. Team Tom might have already moved on.”

With that, she turned and walked to the front of the group.

Ling Mo rubbed his nose and said, “This team is much harder to deal with than Team Tom. Many of them think they’re the best, noses in the air.”

“Let’s beat them up, maybe break a couple of tendons in their hands or feet…” Xia Na joined them, gripping her scythe and cracking her neck.

“They’re just waiting for me to start something.” Ling Mo gave a faint smile, turned, and pinched Xia Na. “How can fighting dogs be fun when the master isn’t around?”
